Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Health the process used to authenticate a qualification was awarded to a named applicant, in respect of HSE and agency appointments where an educational qualification is an eligibility requirement; if this includes direct verification with the awarding educational institution, digital credential verification or an independent credential-verification service; the sufficient evidence needed for the HSE to regard a qualification as ‘verified’; the person or body responsible for authentication of posts not subject to statutory professional registration; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
