Hospital Facilities

Summary

The HSE will respond directly on whether funding arrangements restrict the Mayo University Hospital cystic fibrosis unit’s wider use.

4002. Deputy Paul Lawless asked the Minister for Health whether any part of the cystic fibrosis unit at Mayo University Hospital is subject to community, charitable or other funding arrangements that restrict its use for general paediatric or hospital-wide surge capacity; and, if so, the nature of those restrictions; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
