Hospital Services

Summary

The Minister referred questions on neonatal cot capacity and potential additional resources at Mullingar Regional Hospital to the HSE for a direct response.

4021. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Health if she will confirm the current neonatal capacity at the Midlands regional Hospital Mullingar; specifically the number of neonatal cots available at Mullingar; the way in which this number compares to other maternity hospitals; and if the HSE will urgently put in place additional neonatal resources at MRHM. As this is an operational matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
