The Department reported no payments to private insurance companies from its establishment in 2020 through to 2026.

Deputy Malcolm Byrne asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science the total amounts paid by his Department to private insurance companies for insurance for each year from 2016 to 2025 and to date in 2026; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has not paid any private insurance companies for insurance between 2020, when the Department was established, to date in 2026. Therefore this is a ‘Nil Return.
