Summary

The Minister said higher education institutions independently determine curriculum content, so the Department has no role in confirming whether induced lactation in men is taught.

4087. James Lawless Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science Fianna Fáil

The Universities Act 1997 and the Technological Universities Act 2018 provide higher education institutions with autonomy and responsibility for their day-to-day management and operational/academic affairs. This includes areas such as curriculum development and course content and as such the Department and Minister have no role in these matters.
