Dara Calleary Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht Fianna Fáil

My Department is proud and committed to operating bilingually, and proactively publishes the majority of documents simultaneously in Irish and English. Irish and English are the most requested languages for translation and interpretation services.

Over the past five years, my Department has on occasion provided Russian and Ukrainian translations of documents. In 2024, prior to the transfer of dog control functions to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, my Department produced a leaflet on legal responsibilities of dog owners. This leaflet was also made available in Polish, Romanian, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
