Taxi Licences

396. Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Transport if he aware of the fact that there has been no application process, a waiting list or an acceptance of new drivers to get a taxi stand licence to ply their trade in Aerphort Átha Cliath since 2022; the reason for this; and when a new allocation of licences for taxis to be based in Aerphort Átha Cliath will be issued to help counter the shortage of taxis which often happens at peak times in the airport. Darragh O'Brien Minister for Transport Fianna Fáil

Daa has statutory responsibility to operate, manage and develop Dublin Airport. As such, queries in relation to taxi stand permits at Dublin Airport are a matter for Daa.

I have therefore forwarded your question to Daa for direct reply. If the Deputy does not receive a response within ten working days, please advise my Private Office.
