675. Deputy Ged Nash asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Finance to confirm both in percentage and in clear monetary terms the value of the ‘levy’ on his Department's expenditure, that was required to be communicated to the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation on or before the deadline of 17 July 2026, (details supplied) and if he will make a statement on the matter. Simon Harris Tánaiste and Minister for Finance Fine Gael

I wish to inform the Deputy that while the calculation of the levy and its application across Departments is a matter for the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, my Department continues to engage with that Department as part of the 2027 Estimates discussions in relation to the Government Decision S180/20/10/3001 regarding the value of an expenditure levy applicable to the Department of Finance.
