Simon Harris Tánaiste and Minister for Finance Fine Gael

Please see below table of units that have HBFI funding but have ‘not yet commenced/other’, which received funding more than one year ago, two years ago, and three years ago respectively.

Some units not yet commenced relate to facilities with multi-year development programmes and/or multiple phases where the site is still in active development. Other units will not proceed due to a number of factors including site purchase not completing, other issues, or the housebuilder may proceed with another lender. In these cases, the HBFI funding is recycled and made available for other schemes.

Note: The remaining 2,356 units are not accounted for in above table as they have been approved in the last 12 months, which is outside of the timeline of the question.
