The Office of Public Works is satisfied that the detention cell windows at Kells Garda Station meet the relevant standards.

Presently, two approved detention cell window suppliers manufacture and install detention cell windows in accordance these standards. Both of these window designs have been independently tested, using a 'Hard Body Impact Test'.

Both window designs meet the requirements of EN 14019, which is a standard relating to 'Impact Resistance'.
