1190. Deputy Malcolm Byrne asked the Minister for Education and Youth the total amounts paid by her Department to private insurance companies for insurance for each year from 2016 to 2025 and to date in 2026; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [61351/26]

My Department has not made any payments to private insurance companies. However, two bodies under the aegis of my Department, the Educational Resource Centre (ERC) and An Comhairle um Oideachais Gaeltachta and Gaelscolaíochta (COGG), have made such payments. Details of these payments are contained in the table below.
