Hildegarde Naughton Minister for Education and Youth Fine Gael

My department does not maintain a registry of gifts, hospitality, or other benefits received by civil servants. All civil servants within my department are strictly bound by the Civil Service Code of Standards and Behaviour regarding the acceptance of gifts, and individual staff members and line managers are responsible for adhering to these requirements.

Senior officials within my department holding designated positions file statutory annual disclosures under the Ethics in Public Office Acts.

The information in respect of state bodies under the aegis, within the scope of the Deputy’s question, is not held by my department. State bodies have been provided with the question and have been advised to respond directly to the Deputy.
