Michael Moynihan Minister of State at the Department of Education and Youth Fianna Fáil

The School Transport Scheme is a significant operation managed by Bus Éireann on behalf of the Department of Education and Youth.

Bus Éireann have advised that the pupil, to whom the Deputy refers, is eligible for school transport but a late application was submitted by the family on 23rd July 2026. Bus Éireann advised the route has been organised for the 2026/27 school year, and the service is at capacity with no seats available to accommodate this pupil.
