A levy of €3 million (1.29%) will apply to the 2027 current provision for my Department. The levy will not apply to capital expenditure.

My Department responded to the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation request for efficiencies and reforms required to implement the levy. Significant efficiency measures have already been implemented across my Department to ensure that resources are used effectively and these measures will continue into 2027.

Full details of my Departments financial allocation for 2027, taking account of the levy reduction and the upcoming Estimates process, will be finalised and announced in the upcoming Budget. Detailed allocations at programme and subhead level will be set out in the Revised Estimates Volume (REV) in December.
