Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science the details of any contracts in place between his Department and agencies under his remit with a company (details supplied) known to have provided material support to the IDF in Gaza, which the Government considers to be guilty of genocide, since 2023. I can confirm to the deputy that my Department has not had any contracts from the organisation in question.

My Department's IT infrastructure is provided and managed by the Department of Education and Youth as part of a shared service agreement. The Department of Education and Youth has informed my Department that that Department have an annual support contract which is renewed with Oracle every year, as part of a long-term ICT investment. This contract is a support contract for software update licences and support. The contract is the responsibility of Department of Education and Youth as part of the shared service agreement between our two Departments.
