Disability Issues
The Minister said all Department buildings are wheelchair accessible and accessibility will remain a priority in future accommodation, refurbishments and fit-outs.
463. Deputy Barry Ward asked the Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment in cases in which a building under his control is not wheelchair accessible, the reason for this; his plans to remedy this; and the timeline for measures to be completed. [65345/26]

The buildings occupied by the Department are owned and/or managed either by the Office of Public Works (OPW) or by private landlords. Notwithstanding these ownership and management arrangements, the Department is committed to ensuring that the premises they occupy are accessible and suitable for persons with disabilities, including wheelchair users. Accordingly, all buildings occupied by the Department that are wheelchair accessible.
The Department will continue to ensure that accessibility requirements are taken into account in relation to any future accommodation arrangements, refurbishment projects, or office fit-outs, with a view to maintaining appropriate accessible access.
