Youth funding is administered by 16 ETBs across functional areas, not counties; aggregate allocations to youth organisations for 2021–2026 were provided in an online table.
474. Deputy Cathy Bennett asked the Minister for Education and Youth if she will provide a breakdown of the amount of funding allocated to youth organisations in each county in each of the years 2021 to 2025 and to date in 2026, by county and year, in tabular form. [64181/26]

Youth funding is administered on behalf of the department at a local level by the sixteen Education and Training Boards (ETB). This funding supports a number of schemes which include UBU Your Place Your Space, Youth Information Centres, the Targeted Youth Employability Support Initiative (TYESI), Holiday Meals Pilot Scheme and the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme (LYCGS).
Furthermore, the ETB Youth Grant funding provided to ETBs supports essential functions such as compliance oversight, needs assessments, service planning, interagency collaboration, and the administrative capacity required to manage policy implementation, budgeting, and resource allocation. This funding also enables ETBs to meet statutory obligations and support the effective implementation of youth work policy.
Youth funding is made available to ETBs to support youth organisations within its functional area rather than on a county-by-county basis.
