Departmental Surveys

Summary

The Minister said departmental surveys do not require MyGovID and are designed with NALA and WCAG accessibility guidance.

608. Deputy Naoise Ó Muirí asked the Minister for Education and Youth if she will ensure that future surveys conducted by her Department include an option for respondents to submit observations without requiring a MyGovID account, thereby improving accessibility and recognising that many people do not have an account. Hildegarde Naughton Minister for Education and Youth Fine Gael

My department is open to the use of myGovID as a secure means to access its services, however my department does not make it mandatory on surveys.

Recently my department has run a number of surveys, none of which required mygovid and all of which were developed with National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG):

The national conversation on education.

The Anti Bullying survey.

The Primary School Survey.

The Survey of Substitute Teachers.
