Michael Moynihan Minister of State at the Department of Education and Youth Fianna Fáil

The purpose of my Department's School Transport Scheme is, having regard to available resources, to support the transport to and from school of children who reside remote from their nearest school.

The School Transport Schemes funded by my department are intended to cater for children and young people who attend schools at primary and post primary level until the end of the school year in which they reach their 18th year.

Based on the details supplied by the Deputy for the pupil referred, this does not come within the remit of the School Transport Schemes.
