Christopher O'Sullivan Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage Fianna Fáil

Dún Dealgan is a national monument in Ministerial guardianship and therefore has a high level of protection under the National Monuments Acts 1930 to 2014.

Planning, including the granting of planning permission, is a matter for the respective planning authority and An Coimisiún Pleanála. The National Monuments Service of my Department made observations under the Planning Regulations. It now a matter for An Coimisiún Pleanála to consider these further.
