The Minister referred a request for ten years of juvenile detention-order statistics, broken down by age, gender and offence, to the independent Courts Service.

Management of the courts and operational matters are the responsibility of the Courts Service, which is independent in the exercise of its functions under the Courts Service Act 1998.
