Summary

The Minister provided monthly 2025 and 2026-to-date bench warrant figures recorded on the Garda PULSE system, noting they usually follow failures to appear in District Court.

Bench warrants are most commonly issued by the District Court where a person fails to appear before the Court as required.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the number of bench warrants recorded in the PULSE system in each month of 2025 and 2026, as of 9 September 2026, is set out in the table below:
