Deputy Ken O'Flynn asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality further to Parliamentary Question No. 3023 of 7 September 2026, to reconcile the stated intention of the Child and Family Agency to incrementally reduce dependency on private residential care with the increase in the number of privately funded placements from 834 in 2024 to 1,038 in 2025; and the target number of private residential placements the agency is working toward in each of the years 2026 to 2030.
