Health Service Executive

Summary

The Minister referred questions on gender mainstreaming and gender-diverse lactation training in maternal care to the HSE for a direct response.

1129. Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Health if she will clarify the extent to which gender mainstreaming is being applied within maternal, perinatal and infant feeding policy; if she will provide details of any HSE funded training relating to gender diverse lactation; and if she will address concerns raised by clinicians regarding the appropriateness of such training. As this is an operational matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the deputy directly, as soon as possible.
