The Minister referred the Deputy’s query on multi-task attendants performing theatre operative duties, including at Mayo University Hospital, to the HSE for response.

Deputy Paul Lawless asked the Minister for Health if the HSE permits multi-task attendants (grade 6015) to undertake the duties of theatre operatives (grade 6013) within acute hospitals; if such arrangements are in place at Mayo University Hospital; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
