The Minister referred questions on the National Ambulance Service recruitment panel, staffing shortages and its possible disbandment to the HSE as an operational matter.

Deputy Donna McGettigan asked the Minister for Health to provide an update on work of the National Ambulance Service NRS panel; the number of potential employees that are on the panel; the number that have been recruited in the past year; the reason staff are not being called up from the panel given the staffing shortage; to confirm whether the disbandment of the panel is planned; and the plan for persons on the panel at that time.
