Questions on reviewing ambulance coding and response priority for elderly falls were referred to the HSE for direct response.

Deputy Joanna Byrne asked the Minister for Health if she will consider a fulsome review of the AMPDS coding and priority assigned by the National Ambulance Service to calls involving falls in elderly and vulnerable patients given the risk of occult fractures, particularly hip fractures, prolonged pain and deterioration while patients are waiting on the floor.
