Comment on this
Ahead of the Budget, as Minister for Public Expenditure I receive pre-Budget Submissions from a large number of stakeholders, organisations and individuals on a wide range of issues.
All submissions are acknowledged by my Department on receipt. I can confirm that a pre-Budget submission from the organisation referred to by the Deputy was received by my Department on 3 June 2026. The submission was forwarded to the relevant area of my Department for consideration in the context of the Budget process underway. As the Deputy will appreciate, it is a long-standing practice of the Minister for Public Expenditure not to comment in advance of the Budget on matters that may be the subject of Budgetary decisions.
