Deputy Naoise Ó Muirí asked the Minister for Health if she is aware of the requirement for sleep apnoea patients to submit monthly CPAP reimbursement claims by post and receive repayments by cheque; and whether consideration is being given to introducing a digital claims and payment system. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for decisions on the pricing and reimbursement of medicines and medical devices; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
