Summary
The Minister asked the HSE to provide information on 2026 nursing graduates’ permanent contracts, employment offers, outstanding contracts and phased commencements.
564. Deputy Ged Nash asked the Minister for Health to confirm the arrangements 2026 General Nursing graduates in respect of their entitlement to the permanent HSE contracts outlined in HR Memo 013/2026; the number 2026 nursing graduates have currently been offered employment; the number that are still awaiting contracts; if graduates are being phased into employment over the coming months; and the reason for this and the criteria used to determine when individual graduates can commence employment as WTEs with the HSE.
