The Minister referred Deputy Cullinane’s request for excess HSE staffing numbers, categories, costs and funding to the HSE for direct reply.

Deputy David Cullinane asked the Minister for Health the number of whole-time equivalent staff employed in excess of the approved 2026 staffing allocation or employment ceiling in each HSE health region and national service at the latest date available; the number of WTEs above allocation by staff category; the associated annualised pay cost; and the extent to which these posts are funded within the existing pay allocation, in tabular form.
