Alan Dillon Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Fine Gael

My department recognises the significant economic, cultural and regional contribution made by Ireland's craft and design sector. The Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) champions the commercial development of Irish designers and makers, stimulating innovation, elevating design thinking, and informing Government policy. The annual exchequer allocation to DCCI is approved by my Department and provided through Enterprise Ireland. Funding for 2026 amounts to €5.4 million. Decisions regarding funding levels and priorities for Budget 2027, including supports for the craft and design sector, will be considered as part of the normal Government Budget and Estimates process.
