The HSE was asked to provide details of personal-data breaches in health services from 2021 to 2026, including affected individuals and Data Protection Commission notifications.

Deputy David Cullinane asked the Minister for Health the number of personal-data breaches recorded by the HSE and public and voluntary hospitals for each of the years 2021 to 2025 and to date in 2026, nationally, by HSE health region and facility where available, broken down by breach category; the number of persons affected; the number involving health or other special-category personal data; and the number notified to the Data Protection Commission, in tabular form.
