Darragh O'Brien Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment Fianna Fáil

Ardnacrusha power station is Ireland’s largest river hydroelectric scheme at 86MW, and has been in operation for nearly 100 years. The day-to-day operations of Ardnacrusha are the responsibility of the generation company ESB Generation & Trading. As such, this is an operational matter for ESB and not one in which I have any function.

The Deputy should contact the ESB directly in relation to matters pertaining to the operation of their generation fleet. The ESB may be contacted at oireachtas@esb.ie.
