I move:

That Dáil Éireann:

— approves the adoption and publication of the Marine Planning Policy Statement, which has been prepared by the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment in accordance with Part 1, Section 6, subsection 4 of the Maritime Area Planning Act 2021, as amended;

— notes that a copy of the Marine Planning Policy Statement and associated statutory environmental reports, in addition to the public consultation report, were laid before Dáil Éireann on 25th August, 2026; and

— welcomes the marine planning policies and priorities outlined therein, which will enhance the marine planning system, and assist the State in delivering its climate, environmental and renewable energy objectives.
