Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to clarify the land and property holdings of Waterways Ireland at Grand Canal Dock and in the Dublin canals and docklands area; to provide their estimated current market value; the plans for those holdings; and any income received from them since 2020. Waterways Ireland is a North South Implementation Body established under the British Irish Agreement of 10 April 1998. It is funded by my Department and the Department for Infrastructure in Northern Ireland.

The detailed information requested in relation to the land and property holdings of Waterways Ireland at Grand Canal Dock and in the Dublin canals and docklands area and the income received from them is not held in my Department. However, arrangements have been put in place by all bodies under the aegis of my Department to facilitate the provision of information directly to members of the Oireachtas.
