I am aware of media reports that the company referred to by the Deputy has ceased trading and is due to enter liquidation. It is regrettable that this development is likely to impact on a range of sports clubs and organisations.

While any contractual arrangements, and disputes arising, between clubs or organisations and the company referred to are outside of my Department's remit and are civil matters between the parties, my Department will be as flexible as possible in working with grant recipients under the Community Sport Facilities Fund (CSFF) that have been impacted by this liquidation.

In line with established procedures, the Department will allow any organisation that received formal approval for works to be carried out for this company, and have not commenced works, to change to another supplier. Additionally, in cases where works were commenced by the company referred to by the Deputy, my Department will allow clubs to employ a different supplier to complete the works.

If any club or organisation has queries in relation to this matter, it can contact my Department and  officials will engage with them in relation to their CSFF allocation.
