Cumas disability day service concerns
Cleere asked for a meeting about concerns regarding the Cumas disability day service in New Ross. The Taoiseach said he would ask the Minister of State to arrange one.
A parent in my constituency has concerns with me regarding the Cumas disability day service in New Ross. This service plays an important role in supporting people with disabilities, providing opportunities for personal development, social interaction and greater independence. These concerns were brought to the attention of Deputy Higgins, the Minister of State with responsibility for disability, in June but a meeting has not yet taken place. Given the importance of the service to the individuals who attend it and their families, I ask that the Minister of State, or her officials, meet directly with this parent to hear their concerns in more detail and discuss the genuine issues they have raised. Would the Taoiseach be willing to arrange a meeting between this parent and the Minister of State to discuss these concerns and explore what steps can be taken to address them?
