The Office of Public Works (OPW) can confirm that there is a schedule of maintenance and capital works planned for Portarlington Garda Station to include the following:

Exterior painting and window repairs.

Structural and Fire Compliance Upgrades.

These works are included in the 2026 OPW work-plan, with a phased commencement during 2026 - 2027.

A design team has been appointed and is in the process of developing a Structural and Fire Compliance upgrade project for the station. The OPW are not in a position to confirm the funding currently allocated for works at Portarlington Garda Station as a budget estimate has yet to be completed.

The commencement/completion dates for the scheduled works are subject to the final sign off of operational and design requirements by An Garda Síochána.
