The school referred to by the Deputy is included in a major capital project for the provision of a new 600-pupil school building, together with all associated ancillary accommodation.
The project will also provide additional classrooms for children with Special Educational Needs, integrated within the overall school layout to support inclusive education provision.
I am pleased to advise that the project has progressed through the design and procurement stages. The invitation to tender issued in late Q4 2025 and tenders have recently been returned. Tenders were returned to the Design Team and the Tender report was submitted to my department for review in late September 2026. Department Officials are currently undertaking a detailed review of the tender report.
Subject to the completion of the necessary approval processes, it is envisaged that construction will commence in Q4 2026.
