As agreed at the first meeting of the committee, there will be one nomination for the position of Leas-Chathaoirleach. That nomination was received from Deputy Smith for Deputy Peter 'Chap' Cleere.

I invite the committee to make any other nominations that they may have for the position of Leas-Chathaoirleach. With there being no other nominations, I declare Deputy Peter 'Chap' Cleere elected as Leas-Chathaoirleach. I congratulate the Deputy and thank him for putting his name forward. I look forward to working alongside him.

I thank the Cathaoirleach and I thank Deputy Smith for his nomination. I look forward to working with the Cathaoirleach and the rest of the committee at this very important committee.

I thank the Deputy. We will now go into private session to deal with housekeeping matters.
