Before entering upon the Orders of the Day, I have to make an announcement as follows:—

I have received from the Secretary to the President a copy of the Proclamation issued on the 7th May, 1951, dissolving Dáil Éireann and summoning that House to meet on the 13th June, 1951.

I have given directions to have the copy of the Proclamation set out in extenso in the usual manner in the Journal of the House. Consequent on this announcement it will also, of course, be printed in the Official Report of Debates. Following is the Proclamation:—
