Unpaid development levies

Summary

Senator Mullen clarifies that he meant Galway City Council when raising concerns that householders could be pursued for unpaid development levies.

I will preface my remarks by thanking the Leader for his response to the issue I raised yesterday on the possibility that householders could be saddled with the burden of unpaid development levies if various city and county councils were thinking of targeting them as has been reported. In my extempore remarks, I made an unfortunate slip of the tongue in that I referred to Galway County Council when I meant to refer to Galway City Council.

Galway County Council is at it too, so the Senator should not worry about that remark. They are all at it.
