Order of Business
The Leader proposes the day’s scheduled business, including motions, legislation and specified debate times.
The Order of Business is No. 1, motion re Convention on the Constitution, to be taken without debate at the conclusion of the Order of Business; No. 2, Health Identifiers Bill 2013 - Order for Second Stage and Second Stage, to be taken at noon and adjourn not later than 1.30 p.m., if not previously concluded, with the contributions of group spokespersons not to exceed eight minutes and those of all other Senators not to exceed five minutes; No. 3, motion re Freedom of Information Act 1997 (Prescribed Bodies) Regulations 2014, to be taken at 1.35 p.m. and conclude not later than 2 p.m., with the contributions of all Senators not to exceed three minutes and the Minister to be given five minutes to reply to the debate; and No. 48, Private Members' business, motion No. 8 re Seanad reform, to be taken at 3 p.m. and conclude not later than 5 p.m. Business will be interrupted between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
