Petroleum Bill timetable

Summary

The Leader confirms that the Petroleum (Exploration and Extraction) Safety (Amendment) Bill will be published and taken the next day, despite objections about inadequate notice.

Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh asked about the transposition of an EU directive and the petroleum extraction legislation. It is intended to take that legislation tomorrow. At its meeting yesterday the Government agreed to the publication of the Petroleum (Exploration and Extraction) Safety (Amendment) Bill.
