Galway European Capital bid
Senator Healy Eames promotes Galway’s European Capital of Culture bid and praises local business and academic support, while the Chair asks her not to name individuals.
Today is a very special day in the history of Galway city and county. Today we present our case in Dublin Castle for the European Capital of Culture. Galway Chamber of Commerce has shown leadership extraordinaire and agreed to a 3% increase in rates on the basis that it will be ringfenced for cultural activities.
