The Senator need not clarify anything. Perhaps the party was not prepared to take it in its time and, if not, the Senator could have tabled a Commencement matter on it.

The Senator's own spokespersons on finance have been saying they would do it since 2012-----

I am sure the Leader will, in his own good time, clarify the matter.
We are all grateful to have the banking inquiry report but the inquiry was hamstrung, as we said yesterday, by the legislation. The inquiry could not make findings of fact and could not make any recommendation against any individual. We all know who was to blame and the sovereign had to step in. We shall debate the matter and I look forward to hearing the Leader's comments on it.
