Palestine debate

Summary

After the Chair pressed for closure, Senator Gavan raised Palestine again and the Leader said he had no objection to a debate, noting that the Minister could come to the House in the new year.

I am asking that the House's decision be represented consistently.

I cannot allow further debate. Is the Order of Business agreed to?

I apologise for missing the Senator. I have no problem about having the Minister come to the House to discuss Palestine. There are different views on the issue, and it is important to have the debate. The Senator may raise it during Private Members' time or by way of a Commencement matter. The Minister would be happy to come to the House to debate it in the new year.
