Brexit and border talks
The discussion drifted into banter before settling on Brexit, with the Leader stressing the Taoiseach, Tánaiste and Minister of State were united in negotiations. Senator Leyden urged caution, and the Leader wished him well with his report on a seamless border.
Yes, but the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government is a good swimmer.

The Taoiseach is not as good as Deputy Enda Kenny.

-----as is the Tánaiste, Deputy Coveney, and his Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Deputy McEntee. I know that the trio are united in their approach to Brexit and appreciate that Senator Leyden wishes them well-----

I appreciate from where the Senator is coming and know from where he has come when he says that. I know that his involvement in Europe has granted him the experience to come in here and make such a comment. I do not dismiss his comments at all, in case he thinks that I am.
