I raise the issue of the €700 million overspend in the health budget. I ask the Minister for Health to come to the House to provide a detailed breakdown of the budget overrun and details of the health capital plan. In my area the planning permission for an endoscopic unit in Naas General Hospital is rapidly running out and we want to see that proposal developed as quickly as possible. Will the Leader ask the Minister to come to the House to discuss the €700 million overrun, in particular, whether it will increase further by the end of the year and how much additional funding we will have to allocate for health services in next year's budget?
